Daesh attack in Deir al-Zor kills two Hezbollah fighters

Two Hezbollah fighters were killed Tuesday in an attack in east Syria launched by ISIS (Daesh) earlier this week.

The clash, which took place near the eastern bank of the Euphrates River in Syria’s Deir al-Zor, killed 45 “non-Syrian” pro-regime fighters and 26 Daesh militants, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

A security source told The Daily Star [Lebanon] that two Hezbollah fighters were among those killed.
